Grade 6 Edmonton TripEach year the Grade 6 classes embark on a three day, two night trip to Edmonton. This year will be no different! All students are able to join us on our adventure this year from May 30-June 1. We travel by Diversified bus (with wifi and movies!), visit the West Edmonton Mall Water Park, explore the Royal Alberta Museum, tour and experience our government in action at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, and end things off with some scientific investigation at the Telus World of Science.
This year we will be combining our trip with the students and teachers from Christina Gordon.
If I choose to volunteer: |
All families who choose to fundraise must give a deposit cheque for a total of $375, post dated for April 7, 2017. If you fulfill your obligations, the cheque will be returned to you. If you do not, the cheque will be cashed on April 18.
In the past we have had various opportunities for parents and students to help raise funds. Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
Movie Nights- taking money at the door, helping with the popcorn machine, set-up and clean-up and chaperoning.
Dances: taking money at the door and chaperoning.
The Fall Market: This is now an annual event where local businesses as well as independent sales representatives (ie. Avon, Tupperware, etc.) All volunteering parents will need to help out with this in some way. This could be with set-up, take-down, making sandwiches for our vendors, etc.
Recycling: Parents will need to pick one or two dates to pick up our schools bottle recycling here at the school (on the last day of that particular week) and take it down to the Green Bottle Depot, on Boreal Ave.
Snack Shack Sale: Parents will need to provide a class set of healthy snack that the students sell to other grade at snack time.
